Old Stratford Parish Council has been made aware that Parish.UK have contacted some businesses, service providers and organisations within our area.

We understand that they create what could be construed as official town and parish council websites, including information relating to the council, education, business, planning, property, heritage and farming. Emails are then being sent to businesses purporting to come directly from these town and parish councils enquiring about business listings alongside requests for payment, suggesting that they are something connected to the local Parish Council.  The emails inform that their business listing expires soon and presents an option to renew (at a cost) or cancel.

They also operate a support page as well as support email address service-support@parish.uk.

Please be aware that parish council websites exist to serve their community and no charges are ever made to promote businesses, service providers and clubs. Please delete any such emails received from an email address ending in parish.uk as they are not endorsed or supported by Old Stratford Parish Council
